[0.2.5] - Fishing profession - 30.08.2025

Features

  • Added a new profession, Fishing.
    • Currently, there are three types of fish, Salmon, Cod and Pufferfish. Salmon and Cod can be cooked in a furnace to increase their value and effects.
    • New type of daily quests, catching fish.
    • This profession is currently in an early stage of development. Fish, fishing rods, zones, gear, and more will be added in the future.
  • Added new item statistics:
    • Mastery — main stat for non-combat professions (currently only fishing). Increases the material quality and drop rate of items from a profession-specific activity.
    • Perception — secondary stat for non-combat professions. Increases the chance of spotting a profession-specific hotspot.
    • Drop rate — Increases the chance of dropping an item from mobs.
  • Added a compass that points to the active quest goals and the location of the closest quest board. Compass can be currently turned on and off in the settings menu. More options will be added in the future.

Changes

  • All weapons and armor are now profession-specific.
  • Renamed the stat Energy to Faith for Paladin class.
  • Remove deprecated items.

Bug Fixes

  • Disabled pets due to the lack of support for 1.20.4 mc version. Server will need to be updated to 1.21, but that will take time and is not priority at the moment.

[0.2.4] - Skills & Daily quests - 30.08.2025

Features

  • Added player skills up to level 20. These skills are currently in testing period, as they are not yet fully implemented. Animations and more skill information will be added in the future.
  • Reworked the daily quest system. The quests are now more rewarding and need to be accepted at the quest board.

Changes

  • Unlocking the inventory slots now requires a rabbit hides and silver. Ulocking was also moved to the Shadegrove village.
  • Design changes to character profession selection.
  • Starting equipment is now more varied.
  • Design changes to quest inventory.

Bug Fixes

  • Small fixes and optimizations.

[0.2.3] - Npcs, Lobby and Weather - 14.06.2025

Features

  • Added a new day-night and weather system.
  • More information npcs and lobby npcs.
  • You can now get a backpack to store more stuff after unlocking the whole inventory.

Changes

  • World time is now synchronized between servers.
  • Traveling through crystal network now has a 15-minute cooldown.
  • Cooldowns on repeatable quests are now ticking down in the quest window.
  • Consumables now have cooldowns.
  • All villager npcs have been replaced with player npcs.

Bug Fixes

  • Mobs should no longer ignite during the day.
  • Selected chat type should now persist after relog.

Features

  • Added trading between players, can be established using the player menu (right-click on the player with shift).
  • Shields now have a Blocking Strength value, which determines how much percent of the attack the shield blocks.
  • Added the first pet obtainable from the quest in the village under the Ancient Tree, Remila.
  • Reporting players using the player menu, or /report.
  • Automatic chat moderator, when sending a message to the chat, it may take a while to display, due to control.
  • Trading between players using the player menu.

Changes

  • Changed the server name to Mythranel.
  • Previous messages are now loaded when connecting, even if the player was not on the server.
  • Shields now only break when you defend with them, usage has been adjusted.
  • Cooldown effects on weapons and items are now visible in the hotbar.
  • Health and stamina are now displayed above the hotbar instead of in text.
  • Rage and Energy are now displayed in the form of a boss bar at the top of the screen.
  • Moved Game Menu, Abilities and Questions to the top of the inventory, so now the top 9 inventory slots can also be unlocked.
  • The map is currently disabled due to the implementation of a custom plugin.

Changes

  • Some merchants now sell Healing Potions.
  • Previous chat messages are now loaded when connecting.
  • Resource pack download information is no longer displayed in the chat.
  • Resource pack no longer displays a hunger bar, stamina can be found in the right menu.
  • Increased player base stats and reduced monster speed at lower levels.
  • Increased chances of getting XP from monsters.

Bug Fixes

  • Items that can be eaten are no longer duplicated if they are in the other hand.
  • When dying inside Aspen Forest, the player will always be revived in Shadegrove.
  • Daily quests can no longer be duplicates (with the exception of killing monsters).

[0.2.0] - Deeproot Forest, Barren Mountain and Blackrock Forest Zones - 09.02.2025

  • Added great swords, hammers and shields.
    • Some are buyable from vendors, some are droped from mobs/bosses.
  • Added boss Ganondorf of the Moblin Village.

Funkce

Opravy chyb

  • Items cannot be placed in recovery storage.
  • Fixed an issue where the Equipment inventory could not be opened after repairing equipment.

[0.1.1] - Quests, Map and QoL changes - 19.01.2025

Funkce

  • New map can now be viewed via dynmap at the URL https://map.mythranel.net.
  • Leveling up is now easier thanks to quests that can be found at special NPCs.
  • Grass, plants, and other vegetation can be broken to prevent mobs from becoming unkillable.
  • Added several drops from vegetation, which can be sold at the trader.
  • Each weapon now has an attack speed, ranging between 0.0 and 1.6. Swords, for example, have a speed of 0.4.
  • Each weapon now has a knockback, ranging between 0 and 10. The basic Minecraft knockback would be approximately the value of 4, which swords currently have.
  • Added support for attack damage based on attack speed and critical hit.
  • A new tavern where you can unlock inventory slots for silver.
  • Swords and armor now take damage and can be repaired at a blacksmith.
  • Old swords and armor can now be sold at the merchant for silver.
  • New inventory with information about daily and other ongoing quests.

  • Increased the performance of the hosting server and extended the render distance to 32 chunks.
  • Item level is now displayed in the description, instead of the name.
  • Skills no longer need to be in the hotbar for cooldown to count down.

Changes

  • Released new version of resource pack and modpack, can be found in join section.
  • Reworked entity spawning, mobs, and npcs are now not persistent on map.
  • Boss spawners no longer display when the boss will respawn, if they are already spawned.
  • Player now has access to full inventory, this will be removed once alpha ends.
  • Player sidebar was changed to display information better.
  • Player hotbar now displays rage/energy, removed hearts in resourcepack.
  • Added toggle to game menu to switch between bar or number version of health.
  • Removed all cooldowns from game, these will be added back once alpha ends.
  • You can now fly around when you die.

  • Player can no longer swap items from main hand to offhand using F.
